Philippe Meylan 
Architecture and project development 

Born in the Vevey region, Philippe Meylan has enjoyed a long career in the realm of architecture and in managing real-estate based projects. He has launched several companies such as Beau-Manoir SA, Arco Architecture et Conseils SA and Arco Real Estate Development SA., that have developed numerous projects in the fields of commerce, industry, sports and entertainment. His architectural firm was merged with the Swiss group Itten+Brechbuhl in 1966. Philippe Meylan has always been involved in a large number of social and economic activities, having served as President of Groupement Vaudois des Architectes (1983), President of the Jeune Chambre Economique de la Riviera (named Senator in 1989), President of the Polygolf SA firm responsible for creating the famous Maison-Blanche golf course at Echenevex, and Vice-President of Club Ferrari Suisse. His passion for cars led to the creation of the “Scuderia” magazine and the “Grand Prix Ferrari de Montreux, “as well as the creation, with inventor Vianney Rabhi, of the Mce-5 Development SA Company, designers of a revolutionary high-performance engine intended for production worldwide. He is a man of many interests, some of which are out of the ordinary, such as his participation in major African Race car rallies, developing two maxi-yachts (MERIT and MERIT-CUP), which allowed Pierre Fehlmann to participate in the Whitbread globe-circling race and international regattas, and his support for the training of young Swiss race-car drivers, owing to his seat on the council of the Marc Surer Foundation.  An avid art lover, he has participated in several auctions and exhibitions with international experts and dealers, not to mention his role as co-developer and principal organizer of the Charlie Chaplin Museum. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Charlie Chaplin Museum Foundation as well as President of Chaplin Museum Development SA, the company overseeing the development and operation of the museographical project dedicated to the great artist and filmmaker.

Yves Durand 
Designer and museographical artist / Short Version

Yves Durand enjoys wide experience in managing various projects in communications, cultural and touristic marketing, museography and multimedia. He founded and managed specialized companies involved in conceptualizing, synopses, scenarios and turn-key theatrical productions, exhibit tours, interpretation centres and museums of universal range and scope.  He is one of the founders of Québec Expérience Multimédia Inc., the company that designed and produced the 3D “Québec Expérience” show and managed the “Feux sacrés” sound-and-light show presented at the Notre-Dame de Québec basilica-cathedral. Yves Durand ran this company for over 12 years, gathering experience in managing and developing touristic and heritage sites which earned him recognition and renown in his country’s cultural and economic milieus.   His commitment to Canadian production sectors lead to his creating Expérience International Inc., a company involved since 1997 in creating and producing international calibre museographical and multimedia projects. His company is responsible for concluding a number of feasibility studies and market researches, as well as the design and production of major turn-key museographical and multimedia projects in Canada, the USA, Portugal, France, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland and China. Before founding companies stemming from Groupe Expérience, he held important positions in finance and communications as well as journalism and public relations.  His economics degree earned him senior positions in financial institutions and the federal and provincial governments, where he acted as Director of Public Relations for the Office de la Protection du Consommateur, Director of information at the Ministère des Affaires internationales and  Minister of Communications for the Ministère de l’Industrie, du Commerce, de la Science et de la Technologie. After forming his own marketing and consultation firm, he lectured on communications and marketing in a major Canadian university. He authored a number of studies and analyses on developing and marketing touristic products combining culture and entertainment. He remains President of Expérience International Inc. and, along with his Swiss colleague and partner Philippe Meylan, is co-developer, developer and administrator of the Charlie Chaplin Museum.
